PM: Govt to allot 6 bln rbl to support households with children

MOSCOW, Dec 2 (PRIME) -- The government will allocate an additional 6 billion rubles to support struggling households with children in Russia’s regions, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a governmental meeting on Thursday.

“Today more than 6 billion more rubles will be allocated to the regions in addition to nearly 305 billion rubles that have already been allocated for this purpose this year. Such support is very important, because we are talking about young children growing up in families with financial difficulties,” Mishustin said.

The Prime Minister also said that the government will allocate 100 billion rubles to provide housing for the people living in dangerously run-down housing.

“This year we will allocate additionally more than 100 billion rubles to such purposes. Several sources will be used, including from the Government Reserve Fund,” he said.

The funds are supposed to help provide 2 million square meters of decent housing to the people in need, Mishustin said.
